Supplies You’ll Need: Before we dive into the assembly process, let’s gather the supplies required for this exciting project:
- Black History Month Chip Bag Template (Download link available at the end of this post)
- Printer
- glossy photo/ brochure paper or your choice of copy paper
- Scissors or paper trimmer
- Double-sided Tape or Hot Glue
- Optional Pinking Zig Zag Scissors
- Optional Paper Crimper
How to Assemble Your Treat Bags:
- Position and Fold: Start by placing the printable label face down. Fold the left and right flaps until the back wording and images face up. This folding creates a crease, forming the back of your chip bag.
- Apply Adhesive: Use double-sided tape or hot glue to secure the right side of the label to the left side, overlapping the white section.
- Seal the Bottom: Seal the bottom of the bag closed to ensure your treats stay securely inside.
- Fill Your Bag: Now comes the fun part! Fill your treat bags with 1 oz chip bags or choose from a variety of items like bookmarks, small paperbacks about black inventors and artists, or chips featuring inspiring quotes.
- Close the Top: Seal the top of the bag using double-sided tape or hot glue.
Optional Step: Add Texture with a Paper Crimper: For a more realistic chip bag appearance, use a paper crimper to crimp the top and bottom of the bag.
