How to Make Football Water Bottle Labels
Making your own football water bottle labels is a simple DIY project that can give your party drinks a more coordinated look. Once you have your printable and supplies ready, follow these easy steps.

These football water bottle labels are available in the Hanging with the Kiddos Printable Library.

2. Print Your Labels
Load your sticker paper into your printer according to your printer’s instructions.
Before printing your entire batch, print a test sheet first. This gives you an opportunity to check the size and overall appearance of your labels before using additional sticker paper.
Once everything looks right, print as many labels as you need for your party.
3. Cut Out the Labels
Once your labels are printed, carefully cut them out.
Scissors work perfectly for a small number of bottles. If you’re making a larger batch, a paper trimmer can make the process a little quicker.
Take your time around the edges so your finished labels have a clean, neat appearance.
4. Prepare Your Water Bottles
Before applying the labels, make sure the outside of each bottle is clean and completely dry.
If your bottles have existing labels, you can remove them first if you’d like the football labels to cover the entire label area.
If you’re working with chilled water bottles, wipe away any condensation before applying your stickers.
5. Apply the Football Water Bottle Labels
Now it’s time to decorate!
Peel the backing from the sticker and carefully line up one edge of the label with your bottle.
Slowly wrap the label around the bottle, smoothing it down as you go.
Taking your time will make it easier to keep the label straight and avoid wrinkles.
Once the label is completely wrapped around the bottle, press along the edges to make sure it’s securely attached.
That’s it! Your water bottles are ready for Game Day.
Tips for Getting the Best Results
A few small details can make a big difference when you’re printing and applying your football water bottle labels.
Start With Dry Bottles
Make sure your bottles are clean and completely dry before applying the labels.
If you’re using chilled water bottles, wipe away any condensation first. Applying the stickers to a dry surface will make the process much easier.
Print a Test Sheet
Before printing a full batch, print one test sheet to check the size and overall appearance of your labels.
This is especially helpful when you’re making labels for a large party and want to make sure everything looks right before using additional sticker paper.
Take Your Time When Applying the Labels
Start at one edge of the bottle and slowly wrap the label around it.
Smooth the sticker as you go rather than trying to apply the entire label at once. This can help prevent wrinkles and keep the label looking neat.
Make a Few Extra Labels
If you’re making several bottles for a party, consider printing a few extra labels.
Having extras gives you a little flexibility if you decide to add more bottles or need to replace a label while you’re setting up your party.
